ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the Islamic leadership approaches among the Muslim citizens in Bangladesh. This study showed differences or conformance on Islamic leadership principles, transformational leadership principles, transactional leadership principles and servant leadership principles based on demographics such as gender and occupation. The present study distributed 320 questionnaires in different places in Bangladesh. Out of which author received 200 responses which gave 62.5 percent response rate. The respondents were from different background namely professionals, entrepreneurs and lecturers. The research data were analyzed according to mean, standard deviation, independent samples t-tests, and one-way ANOVA via SPSS version 23.Findings of this study indicate that male respondents prefer to follow more servant leadership approach compared to female respondents. The results also indicate that Bangladeshi Muslim lecturers prefer more on transformational leadership approach, servant leadership approach and Islamic leadership principles compare to other occupations.
