 ABSTRACT

A 10S Jute cotton blended jute mélange 10S yarns were produced with 2% jute mélange and 98% cotton. The experiment was carried out at Jute and Textile Product Development Center (JTPDC) Wing, Bangladesh Jute Research Institute (BJRI), Dhaka, Bangladesh during 2019 and its properties were investigated and compared with 10S count 100% cotton yarn with the testing instrument available in the JTPDC wing of BJRI. The results compared with 100% cotton yarn was very satisfactory regarding CSP (count, strength product) as 2110, U% (Uster percentage) 15 for 100% cotton yarn against CSP 1974, U % 12 for 2% jute mélange.
