ABSTRACT
The study was conducted at the Department of Human Resource Management, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Trishal, Mymensingh, Bangladesh during December 2018 to January 2019. Bangladesh economy is labour-intensive economy where youth labor force participation rate is increasing day by day and the dynamic business environment, especially ubiquitous use of technology with the blessing of digital Bangladesh is creating more demand to the workforce. Changing workforce demography urges differential treatment from the employers. The purpose of the study is to identify the key challenges of human resource management in Bangladesh. By reviewing Bangladesh labor market scenario the study finds some challenges related to workforce competencies, workforce management and the ways of doing job are creating difficulty in human resource management. Findings of the study will help HRD professionals, Businessmen, and policy developers for building a competitive labor force through best fitted human resource management practices.
