ABSTRACT
The study was conducted at the Department of Human Resource Management, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Trishal, Mymensingh, Bangladesh during May, 2018 to October, 2018 to find out the effect of job dissatisfaction on labor turnover in RMG sector of Bangladesh. Ready Made Garment (RMG) sector has been playing a vital role in the national economy of Bangladesh for the last few years. In spite of having great achievement, this sector has been hampered by continuous bad industrial relation. As a result, dissatisfaction among the workers is growing highly and for this reason, they are leaving their job. Findings of the study suggested that the following factors determining job dissatisfaction: poor compensation package, late payment of wages, unfavorable working environment and conditions and insecurity of services had a significant impact on labor turnover in RMG sector of Bangladesh. The study may help the owners and authorities of the garment factories be informed about the effect of the factors of job dissatisfaction on labor turnover. If they consider the factors of job satisfaction, they will keep the talented and efficient staffs for the betterment of their organization.
