 ABSTRACT

Stress has been used as an unavoidable work-life outcome. A worker can fall in stress if his or her job requirements do not suit. The situation gets even more worsened for the working women in Bangladesh because they have to manage their career while preserving traditional roles. However this study is aimed at identifying the sources and management of stress exercised in the Garment’s industry of Bangladesh. For this purpose, a structured close-ended questionnaire was developed using 5-point Likert Scale and the data were collected through interview schedule both the women workers and Managers of Garments industry of Valuka, Mymensingh during July to November, 2019. After collecting the data from the field, the researchers conduct a comprehensive statistical analysis to find out the research goals. The findings of the study reveals that the major sources of occupational stress among women employees are bullying, harassment and violence, work-family conflict, role conflict, job security and feeling of inequality and managers mostly adopt counseling, leave, effective communication, seminars and Training  for handling stress of women workers of Garments industry of Bangladesh.
