ABSTRACT

This study has been conducted at Department of Management, University of Rajshahi. Rajshahi, Bangladesh during November 2011 to April 2012. Responsibilities of Human Resource Department have progressively turn into broader and more strategic since the tendency of firms to expand their sales, ownership, and manufacturing to global market. Globalization means more competition and more competition means more stress to be “world class” to lesser cost, to make employees more dynamic and to do things improved and less costly. This is the challenge of globalization. To face this challenge and achieve the strategic aims, organizations need to create and accomplish HR systems-HR policies and activities- that make the employee proficiencies and behavior that means Strategic HRM system. This study gives the broader, more strategic and complex view of creating and managing human resources and recommends measures for long-term competitive success in the global market.
