ABSTRACT

A field experiment was carried out at the research farm of Tuber Crops Research Station, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Munshiganj, Bangladesh during rabi season of November 2016 to April 2017 with Three different tuber grade viz.G1= 40-55 mm, G2=28-40m, G3=<28mm and four different spacing viz. S1=60cm x 15cm, S2=60cm x 20cm, S3=60cm x 25cm and S4=60cm x 30 cm. To find out appropriate tuber grade and plant spacing for better yield and quality seeds production. Yield and yield contributing characters and most of the plant characters were significantly varied incase of main effects and the interaction effects. The highest yield 50.09 t/ha was observed in with spacing S1=60cm x 15cm with grading G2=28-40m combination and lowest yield 8.39 t/ha was recorded in spacing S1=60cm x 15cm with seed tuber grade G1=40-55 mm interacting combination.
